Scott Heath has been at FOX5/KUSI (Nexstar Broadcasting) for over 38 years and has held positions as Account Executive, Regional Sales Manager, National Sales Manager, General Sales Manager & VP Station Manager. Scott also oversaw corporate sales training for all stations for a 4-year period. Scott currently over sees 240 Fox 5 / KUSI team members responsible for over 153.9 hours of live LOCAL news and lifestyle shows a week including over 890 hours of live sports including the Super Bowl, FIFA World Cup, MLB All Star Game, World Series, Daytona 500, NFL Sunday’s including the LA Rams Pre-Season, Clippers Basketball and locally the WAVE, Gulls, Legion, Seals and the Sockers. Scott and his team also produce Big Bay Boom the 2nd largest “4th of July” Fire Works presentation in the USA and PPR High School Football.
Scott holds an AA degree in Communications from Grossmont Junior College (1980) and a BA in Journalism from San Diego State University (1983). Scott served 9 years on the TVB Executive Board and was the vice-chair of SAC (Sales Advisory Committee) for the FOX affiliate station group. Scott also served 7 years on the St. Vincent De Paul/Father Joe’s Board, Armed Services YMCA BOARD and is currently serving his 8th year on the San Diego Food Bank. Both Scott & FOX 5 are committed to supporting San Diego community initiatives and Non-Profits both on air, digitally including The Race for Autism, SD Pride Parade, SD Food Bank Holiday Food drive, The Rock Church, Race for Alzheimer’s, St. Patrick’s Day Parade, 9/11 Stair Climb, Armed Services YMCA, SD International Film Festival, Veterans Voices and many more!
