Join Us for Our 46th Annual Holiday Food Drive

The holidays are a time for sharing meals with the people we love. Through the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank’s 46th annual Holiday Food Drive, you can help make sure more of our neighbors can do the same.

Your support is especially important this year. In September, consumer prices in the San Diego-Carlsbad area rose 4.7% over the previous year, the second-highest in the nation, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. For families already stretching every dollar, rising costs can make the holidays one of the hardest times of year to keep food on the table. Your generosity helps us remain a steady source of nutritious food and stability for the approximately 400,000 San Diegans we serve each month.

This season, you can drop off food at a participating fire station during Community Drop-Off Day, donate at your local Albertsons, Vons, or Pavilions, give online, or host a food drive of your own.

Community Drop-Off Day at San Diego Fire Stations

Friday, November 6, and Saturday, November 7 | In Partnership With the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department

Kick off the Holiday Food Drive with your neighborhood firefighters. On Friday, November 6, and Saturday, November 7, 15 fire stations across San Diego will serve as community donation hubs, collecting nonperishable food to help stock the Food Bank’s shelves for the season ahead.

Stop by with a few items from our list of most-needed foods, drop them in the Food Bank’s red barrels, and meet the firefighters who serve your community. Every donation helps us get food to neighbors throughout the holidays.
