The 2026 Turkey Drive is officially underway!
Every year, our Turkey Drive helps thousands of families enjoy the comfort of a traditional Thanksgiving meal. According to the American Farm Bureau Federation, a Thanksgiving meal for 10 last year averaged $61.75 in the West, the highest of any U.S. region. For families managing tight grocery budgets, the cost of a holiday meal can add another challenge to an already demanding season.
Thanks to your help last holiday season, we:
distributed over 10,000 turkeys
provided nearly 10.6 million meals
Your support makes all the difference. A donation to our Turkey Drive helps provide turkeys for Thanksgiving meals served by our nonprofit partners, bringing families together around the table to share in a cherished holiday tradition.

One Partner Making the Season Possible
Last holiday season, the Food Bank distributed over 10,000 turkeys and nearly 10.6 million meals across San Diego County, made possible through a network of over 450 nonprofit partners.
At the San Diego Center for the Blind, turkeys become full Thanksgiving dinners cooked by students themselves.
“Some students don’t have family for the holidays, so this is their one Thanksgiving,” says Jessica Healy, an instructor and administrative assistant at the Center.
