Jill Irvin serves as Senior Vice President, General Counsel at The Bumble Bee Seafood Company, a role she’s held for more than 15 years.
While no typical day is the same, Jill oversees all of Bumble Bee’s legal matters, including corporate governance, reviewing and negotiating of key contracts, working with strategic partners on joint ventures, managing legal portions of acquisitions and divestitures, and providing legal advice on all matters affecting the company from employment matters to labeling requirements to customs and tariffs, and more. Jill takes pride in her role as a business-focused attorney with a goal and track record for finding solutions and managing litigation strategically.
Prior to her role at Bumble Bee, Jill worked at O’Melveny & Myers LLP, serving as a partner in both the New York and Los Angeles law offices. Jill’s extensive background extends across industries with experience in mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning and development and counseling clients on general corporate matters.
Jill attended the University of Michigan Law School and holds an additional Master of Business Administration from University of Southern California and Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from University of Iowa. Jill is a long-time supporter of Miracle Babies, a San Diego nonprofit that provides supportive services to families with critically-ill babies in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), an organization that is near and dear to her heart after her twin boys had an extended stay in the NICU. In her spare time, Jill enjoys practicing hot yoga, spinning, running, and spending time with her sons and dogs.
