Crisis Response

There When the Community Needs Us

As the county's food safety net, the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank works year-round to make sure nutritious food is available when our community needs it most. During severe weather or other emergencies, we work closely with our nonprofit partners and community organizations to respond to changing needs across San Diego County.

How Disaster Relief Works

Ready Before Disaster Strikes

Your financial support keeps our warehouses stocked with emergency food, water, and supplies — so we’re ready to respond at a moment’s notice.

2

Disaster Ready Network Mobilized

Our team monitors for urgent needs and works with partners to activate a quick response as soon as a crisis unfolds.

3

Quick Disaster Response

Volunteers pack and load supplies onto our semi trucks so food and aid reach impacted areas, often within hours.

Together, We're Making an Impact

“Our community members were very grateful to receive [supplemental] items in addition to their regular food supply. Several recipients noted that receiving eggs and ground beef helps them significantly save on their personal grocery costs.”
