The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank is proud to share our 2024 Impact Report, highlighting the many ways our community came together to support neighbors facing hunger.
With your help, the Food Bank provided food assistance to more than 400,000 people every month across San Diego County. In 2024, we responded to urgent needs, delivering emergency food to 6,000 households impacted by devastating floods, expanding the Food 4 Kids Backpack Program to reach more children and families, and stepping in during the summer months when free school meals pause.
Your generosity also fueled long-term solutions. Together with 450 nonprofit partners, we distributed 50 million pounds of food — the equivalent of nearly 42 million meals. We launched new partnerships, including one with the San Diego Fishermen’s Working Group that provides 1,400 pounds of fresh seafood each month, and we sustained vital programs like our Diaper Bank Program, distributing over 8 million diapers despite major funding cuts.
Every achievement in this report was made possible by our donor family, volunteers, and community partners. We invite you to explore the full 2024 Impact Report to see the difference your support made and how you are helping us build a hunger-free San Diego.
