A Permanent Commitment to North County
Since assuming operations of the North County Food Bank at the request of the community in 2015, we’ve grown annual distribution from 550,000 pounds to more than 9.2 million pounds. Together with our Miramar warehouse, we now deliver nearly 14 million pounds of food and supplies each year into San Diego’s northernmost communities — a powerful response to rising need.
In 2025, we moved to our new 60,000-square-foot facility in Vista, a permanent investment in North County that expands our ability to serve families more efficiently. By owning the building instead of leasing, we save $400,000 annually — funds that are reinvested directly into hunger-relief programs.
What's Inside the Vista Facility
Our Vista location is more than a warehouse — it’s a hub for community support and empowerment.
Expanded services now include:
- Larger Client Choice Pantry– Enabling even more families to shop through this dignified, marketplace-style experience.
- 7,000 sq. ft. of refrigeration space – Increasing capacity for fresh produce, dairy, and proteins.
- On-site Diaper Bank – Providing essential items for families with young children.
- Partner Resource Center – Offering dedicated space for trusted partners providing housing, healthcare, employment support, and more.
This facility strengthens our long-term commitment to North County and enhances our ability to respond to the evolving needs of the community.
