Dr. Singh is an award-winning educator and administrator with a background in leading strategic growth initiatives. He currently serves as the Dean of the College of Business and Economics at Cal State East Bay. Before joining Cal State East Bay, Dr. Singh served at National University and as a full professor, chair, associate dean, and interim dean at San Diego State University (SDSU). Dr. Singh is a consummate teacher-scholar, receiving several teaching awards (Most Influential Faculty, Best Professor, and Most Outstanding Faculty) and published over 70 referred scholarly and practitioner articles in journals worldwide. Dr. Singh firmed up the foundations for the AASCB accreditation and catalyzed the drive to accomplish a top 10 ranking by the US News and World Report of the College of Business Administration at SDSU.
He joined National University in 2014 as associate provost and was named provost the following year. As provost, Dr. Singh serves as the chief academic officer to the president, strengthening academic infrastructure for the next generation of adult learners. In 2018, Singh’s role as provost expanded to include executive vice president, overseeing enrollment management, student services, and the Office of International Affairs.
Dr. Singh is known for his unique approach to bridging traditional higher education with innovative practices, crediting his background as a teacher and scholar.
Dr. Singh’s community service includes serving as a board member on the Marketing Committee of Sharp Hospital. He is very active in the local cricket community, serving as the San Diego Cricket Club president. Along with four of his colleagues, Dr. Singh purchased the San Diego Surf Riders, one of 23 Minor League Cricket (MiLC) franchises affiliated with Major League Cricket (MLC).
