Here in San Diego County, where one of the nation’s largest military populations lives and serves, tens of thousands of military and veteran families are quietly struggling to make ends meet. Through our Military Initiative to Combat Hunger, the San Diego Food Bank is proud to stand beside them. Each month, we provide food assistance to nearly 40,000 active-duty military and veteran family members through partnerships with 13 military-focused nonprofits.
When you give during Independence From Hunger, you help the Food Bank respond to hunger wherever it exists — including by feeding hope to the heroes who feed our freedom.
