Anjie Frias has focused her legal career on assisting clients and empowering community members in exercising their legal rights. She has successfully advocated for SSI benefits, tenant rights, education rights, and other legal needs on behalf of low-income individuals. Anjie currently provides direct services to clinic participants within San Diego County courthouses and delivers tenants’ rights workshops on behalf of the Legal Aid Society of San Diego. In addition, she serves as the Policy and Research Advisor for the Housing Justice Collaborative (formerly the Eviction Prevention Collaborative) working to develop coordination around programs and policies that support housing stability in San Diego.
Previously, Anjie served as the Education Program Manager for the City Heights Community Development Corporation executing the tenants’ rights education and outreach in vulnerable communities for the City of San Diego’s Eviction Protection Program. Anjie also has a long-standing commitment to community service. She currently serves on the Boards of the National Charity League and Cristo Rey High School San Diego, and she is seeking her certification from the National Association of Corporate Directors. She graduated,with honors, from Creighton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and received her law degree from Emory University School of Law.
