When you give, you do more than just keep the San Diego Food Bank running — you help us grow our programs and reach even more families in need. Thanks to your support, we expanded our Client Choice Food Pantry at our North County warehouse, making it an even better experience for the families we serve.
Since it first opened two years ago, the pantry has more than doubled its capacity and is on track to serve up to 4,000 households each month this winter! Expanding from 577 to 1,729 square feet allows multiple households to shop comfortably at the same time during a single 20-minute visit. With this expansion, we can offer even more families in Vista and surrounding North County communities the freedom to choose the nutritious foods that best suit their needs, along with household essentials like diapers. Plus, seniors 60 and older who meet specific federal income guidelines can sign up for our Senior Food Program to receive additional monthly support. Your continued support is making a real difference in the fight against hunger in all areas of the county.
