The San Diego Food Bank is honored to be awarded a $25,000 Community Grant from Cox Charities in support of our Military Initiative to Combat Hunger.
This generous funding will help provide nutritious food to active-duty military personnel, veterans, and their families across San Diego County who are struggling with food insecurity. Rising housing costs, inflation, frequent relocations, and the challenges of spousal unemployment and childcare make it increasingly difficult for many military households to make ends meet. With this grant, the Food Bank can continue easing that burden and ensuring families have access to healthy meals.
Cox Charities, funded by employee donations, has supported local communities since 1996. Their commitment to giving back demonstrates the power of neighbors helping neighbors and strengthens our shared mission of serving those who serve our country.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Cox Charities for their generous support and continued partnership. Together, we are making a direct and lasting impact in the lives of San Diegans who need us most.
