Mark Kremers is a Managing Director and Market Executive for Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Mark has served as Market Executive for four different markets within the firm’s West Division: Desert Inland Empire Market, Cal Nevada, Orange County Inland Empire and most recently the San Diego Market with oversight of 250+ associates and 24 billion in client assets. Mark was the recipient of the National Leadership Award for the Desert Inland Empire Market in 2016, Cal Nevada Market in 2017, the Orange County Inland Empire Market in 2018 and the San Diego Market in 2019, 2021 and 2022. Mark is Vice Chair of the Merrill Lynch Market Executive Strategy Council as well as the San Diego Market Integration Executive for Bank of America. As Market Executive for the San Diego Market, Mark is responsible for developing, implementing and executing the firm strategy of building a world class sales and service team dedicated to delivering an exceptional experience to individuals, families, and institutions they serve.
Prior to joining Bank of America Merrill Lynch as a Market Executive 9 years ago, Mark spent 20 years at Morgan Stanley where he was a Complex Manager, leading six different markets over a 12-year period. At Merrill Lynch, Mark is committed to building a diverse market that best represents the unique community in which we live. He maintains a focus on increasing a franchise presence throughout Southern California with an emphasis on building headcount and market share through FA retention, ADP/MFSA development, competitive recruiting, and organic growth.
Mark is a graduate of Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA where he earned a B.A. in Communications. While away from the office, Mark is active coaching youth sports and he enjoys playing golf, football, baseball, pickleball and snow skiing. Mark resides in Carlsbad, CA with his wife Kristen who is a 3rd grade teacher in the Del Mar School District. Together, they have two sons, Jake, and Camren, who are away attending college.
