MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL GROUP VOLUNTEERS
Middle and high school student groups are welcome to volunteer at the Food Bank.
Volunteering at our warehouse provides students with an opportunity to give back to the community and learn first-hand about hunger and hunger prevention.
Only one contact person is required to register a school group for a volunteer visit. All school groups must have the appropriate ratio of chaperones to students (4 students for every 1 adult).
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TOURS
Due to health and safety issues elementary school groups cannot be incorporated in volunteer activities. However, elementary school groups are encouraged to take a tour of the San Diego Food Bank warehouse to educate students about hunger and how the Food Bank serves our community.
If you would like to schedule a group tour, please contact our volunteer manager, Will McHenry, by email wmchenry@sandiegofoodbank.org or by phone (858) 527-1419 Ext. 19. We would be happy to assist you in creating a customized visit.
