| San Diego Food Bank Announces Significant Gains in Further Stabilizing Organization’s Future |

Oct. 5, 2007 – San Diego Food Bank will hold a press conference to announce significant developments including
New grants awarded from the State, a significant new food supply partner, and the slate of executive officers for its Board of Directors 2008 year term.
Each year, more than 813,000 individuals throughout San Diego County will experience some form of food insecurity this year.
The San Diego Food Bank (SDFB) has been San Diego County’s central repository and distribution point for government and donated food for more than 30 years. These announcements planned for the press conference will demonstrate the SDFB’s latest progress in further stabilizing the organization’s future thanks to the dedicated staff, Board of Directors, volunteers and local business and individual supporters.
Members of the media are invited to attend the press conference and interview key members of the organization following the announcement. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP to schedule times for exclusive interviews and tours of the facility prior to arriving at the event. |
