Qualcomm Awards the San Diego Food Bank $50,000 Grant

Hunger in San Diego touches all ages of San Diego County residents. Children and senior citizens combine to constitute the largest age group served by the San Diego Food Bank. Of the people served by SDFB, 48 percent are children (16 percent ages 5 and under) and 22 percent are senior citizens.

Last month, Qualcomm donated $50,000 for the purchase of food and personal hygiene items to be distributed to Food Bank Member Agencies that serve children and senior citizens. A sample of the items purchased include diapers, frozen chicken, thousands of pounds of rice, beans and cereal, and hundreds of cases of canned tuna, chicken and fruit and vegetables.

Thank you Qualcomm on behalf of the children and seniors being fed through your generosity!
