| RUN FOR THE HUNGRY |
For the fifth year, runners and walkers took to the streets of downtown San Diego on Thanksgiving morning to raise food and funds for the San Diego Food Bank and Jewish Family Service’s Foodmobile. More than 3,690 runners and walkers participated as well as 200 dogs that registered as a part of Riley’s Run, a new feature of the race that encouraged owners to bring friendly, leashed dogs.
“Another year, another great event,” said Michael London, run founder and CEO of PureFitness. “Each year, this race gets bigger and better. I am really happy that so many people were able to join us.”
A big thanks to our title sponsor PureFitness and all our other sponsors including KUSI TV, Ralphs, Pennysaver and Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. “This is a great event to build a family tradition. Before you sit down to your holiday meal, join us and help raise food, money and awareness for the hungry people in San Diego County,” reminded London. |
